“He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,” - 2 Timothy 1:9

Experimenting with surrealism

I took these photos on 25th of April, 2011. My purpose for taking these photos was for fun and to experiment with surrealism and the supernatural world that surround our very existence. The world we can't see but they can see us and they do live amongst us. Here are some of that I took on that day.

All were shot on camera and none were edited on photoshop. Just slight editing in Digital Photo Professional for Canon.

If you don't know what surrealism is or what is a surrealist person then they are a person who wants to tap into their creativeness through their subconscious or dream-time state. By having their subconscious thoughts and dream-time thinking come to reality through whatever they were painting, drawing, photographing or when they were writing poetry.

Quotation to explain it further.

Experimenting with High ISO & Higher Shutter Speed

Experimenting with slower shutter speeds & higher ISO

I decided I wanted to shoot manly from my backyard. I decided to use a slower shutter speed meaning i.e. like 1.3 sec to 15 sec to 30 sec. I wanted to experiment with lighting and by using a slower shutter to allow enough light to come in. By having a slower shutter means the slower the shutter shuts over the sensor and this overall creates a longer exposure and the star shaped lights that were formed in this photo.

I also used a higher ISO speed to purposely create a grainier photograph. I wanted to have "old style photograph" incorporated within my photos. I used "Manual Setting" to do this.

Here are the photographs I came up with.
